iSculpture Art Gallery – San Gimignano & Casole d’Elsa is proud to announce
Ivan Lardschneider: A Child’s Play
Site Specific Installation: Hotel Castello di Casole | June 14 – June 28, 2014
Solo Exhibition: iSculpture Art Gallery San Gimignano | June 15 – June 28, 2014
iSculpture Art Gallery is proud to announce the Solo Exhibition A Child’s Play by Ivan Lardschneider. Simultaneously, the site specific installation “A Fallen Angel on Earth” will be displayed at the Hotel Castello di Casole.
Ivan Lardschneider, a young sculptor, has shown his works in various events, in and out European borders. Rhode Island, Miami, Berlin and Paris are among his latest exhibiting locations, beneath his attendance to the 54° Biennale di Venezia. This is time for Tuscany, between San Gimignano and Casole d’Elsa. This is going to be the setting chosen to present his latest works and the catalogue “A Child’s Play”, edited by Vanilla Edizioni.
As the first apprentice of Aron Demetz, he started his career on the figurative path so clearly preferred by Walpoth and then turned to his original and recognizable style. Linden wood is his medium, the same of the Gardenese tradition, the one used for the religious sculptures in our churches, rediscovered with a new and unique artistic syntax. Telling about his works means to have the privilege to go back to that childhood and candid condition, simple and uncontaminated that taught us to call things with their names, to transcend the constructed language e to make it pure again. Lardschneider allows us to return to the primordial sense of this communication because he uses a simple and intuitive language. His figure is linear and absolute, is each one of us and it needs no more than our daily gestures.
The high point of his new production is “A Fallen Angel on Earth”, exhibited in the wonderful setting of the Castello di Casole (Siena), where Ivan’s typical character becomes an Angel precipitated among us. Our cultural and religious superstructures lead us to think that his exile is a form of punishment. But, and this is where Ivan’s works intensity plays, we have to annul our knowledge, free our mind to look at his works with the eyes of a child, immune to prejudice.
Opening at Hotel Castello di Casole (SI): Saturday, June 14 at 6 p.m.
Opening of the Solo Exhibition at iSculpture Gallery San Gimignano: Sunday, June 15 at 6 p.m.
Born in Val Gardena in 1976. He exhibits since 2005 and his works are today at the Ladin Museum and in art galleries in Paris, Saint Paul de Vence, Rome, Milan, Miami, Berlin and India. He took part to the 53° Biennale di Venezia with a collateral project of LILA. In 2011 he attended the 54° Biennale di Venezia. In 2010 he was invited to show his works in the itinerant group show “Dadaunpop” that touched Mumbay, Calcuttael and New Delhi, curated by Igor Zanti.
About iSculpture Gallery:
iSculpture was established in 2012 by Francesca Cundari and Patrick Pii, with the aim to promote both young and successful Italian sculptors. Our attention is mostly focused on the research of the new borders of the Italian figurative arts.
Updated in taste and in the concept of “beauty”, sculpture is perhaps the most complete art kind, in which matter and shape come together in a continuous challenge to renewal, without ever leaving a constant acquisition of consolidated parameters relating to balance and know-how. The works of our selected artists represent a significant example of contemporary Italian sculptural production in the field of ceramics, bronze, alabaster, wood, marble and iron.
Tradition and modernity merge together in the 14th century architecture and the renovation works, facilitating a timeless dialogue between the art works and the spectator. Its first location in San Gimignano, is today joined by a further exhibiting space in Casole d’Elsa (SI), at the border between the provinces of Siena and Pisa, crossed by international cultural and artistic fervors since many years ago.
About The Castello di Casole:
Castello di Casole, one of the largest private estates in Italy, is located in heart of Tuscany, near the beautiful cities of Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. The castle’s rich history dates back to the end of the 10th century, when it was built and christened Querceto Manor. Querceto Manor often hosted the political exiles of nearby Siena until it fell into decline starting in the 15th century. Owned and reconstructed during the 19th and 20th centuries by the Bargagli family of Siena – esteemed local aristocracy – the castle rose to a prominent position in the region, as the surrounding estate was a leading agricultural producer with 31 farms on 2200 acres. During the late 20th century the Castello was owned by prominent Italian film director Luchino Visconti, who entertained European and Hollywood luminaries throughout the estate. For the Timbers Resorts, owner of the estate, has always been a priority to preserve the rich history of Tuscany and the constant cultural promotion of the “Made in Italy”. Among the expressions of this desire is part of the program of events and exhibitions in collaboration with iSculpture Gallery in San Gimignano.

The Bank Ipibi Financial Advisory, in its prestigious Roman headquarters, is hosting for two months (May 15 to July 15 in 2014) the exhibition “Dialogues” of the Tuscan artist Rudy Pulcinelli, edited by Lisa Bonetti Spalenza.
Over twenty works will be on display, including sculptures made of corten steel, cotton paper, ceramics and a monumental installation made of polystyrene. The hall entrance, the reception rooms and the gallery on the first floor have been contaminated by the artist with sculptures of various sizes. Rudy Pulcinelli uses the seven most common alphabets in the world to explore the theme of communication. The inextricable intertwining letters form a mesh from which a message of universal significance springs: a call for dialogue. Heaps and intricate symbols stand in Esperanto invoking the hope of a future without interference in the communication between peoples.
May 15 was held the inauguration, here’s a bit ‘ of photos !

This year the Ministry of Culture is organizing “The Night of Museums“, a European scope event that offers a free entrance to museums and archaeological sites, allowing an exciting and unusual use of the Italian artistic heritage for everyone that missed the this opportunity during the usual visiting hours. We will be glad to meet all visitors, with a glass of wine and our pleasure to discuss about arts… See you there!

Happy Easter from iSculpture Gallery – San Gimignano & Casole d’Elsa
April 4th, 2014. iScultpture Gallery San Gimignano is pleased to announce to our collectors the opening of our second venue in Casole d’Elsa, an ancient medieval village with an important openness to contemporary art.
The exhibiting space, the result of a complex restructuring, beyond a physical place, proposes to become a time for reflection and intersection between the worlds and the different practices of the contemporary. The intent is to propose new forms of artistic expression, not only related to sculpture, in the range of a future district for contemporary art.
